ACP-EU Joint Institutions
The Committee is composed of Heads of Mission of each ACPState to the EU, permanent representative of each MemberState to the EU, and a representative of the Commission. The office of Chairman of the Committee is held alternately by a Permanent Representative of a MemberState designated by the Community, and a head of mission representing an ACPState, designated by the ACP States.
The Committee’s role is to assist the Council of Ministers in the fulfilment of its tasks and carry out any mandate entrusted to it by the Council. In this context, it meets once a month to:
Monitor the implementation of cooperation agreements; and
Participate in meetings of the ACP-EU Council of Ministers.
